You can also find out more about

  • Mixing bowl – To place your ingredients
  • Mixing spoon: To mix your ingredients together.
  • Measure cups and spoons to ensure that you are using the correct amount of ingredients
  • To store the finished product, you will need 3 (4-ounces) storage containers with lids. Make you use airtight storage jars, like Mason jars, so your DIY turmeric body scrub stays fresh.

Turmeric scrub Ingredients

  • White Granular Sugar –Granular sugar is an exfoliant that removes dead skin from your body. It also removes dirt from the skin pores and clears clogged pores. You can substitute brown sugar for white granular. This turmeric exfoliating sugar is gentler for sensitive skin.
  • Coconut Oil – Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties that can reduce acne, and also protect the skin from harmful bacteria. You can also use almond oil, olive oil, or avocado oil instead of coconut.
  • Essential oil – Essential oils are a great way to add fragrance to sugar scrubs. I use Lemon but Ginger and Cinnamon work well too. Feel free to replace with your favorite essential oil.
  • Turmeric Powder Contains the active curcumin. Curcumin has antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is therefore used to treat dry skin, acne and skin inflammation. Curcumin has also been shown to protect skin against damaging UV B radiation.

Turmeric Body Scrub: How to Use it

Start by moistening your skin. Apply a medium amount to your skin. Rub the body scrub with circular motions. Then, wash your skin with warm tap water and pat dry.

Note Test a small patch of skin first if you have sensitive skin to see how it reacts to the turmeric exfoliating body scrub. If you plan to use this turmeric body scrub on the bikini line, test a small section first as the skin is thinner there and sensitive.
